This year Lincoln's birthday was on a Sunday so we kept it real low key and just had my family over for dinner. It was nice to not plan a big event for his birthday. Sometimes I feel like it's better than going all out. Maybe that's just me but anyways, we had dinner, ate cupcakes and opened gifts. Oh how I love Lincoln! He is such an easy kid. Honestly, if Heavenly Father told me the rest of my kids were going to be this easy, I would have ten. Oh did I mention he pretty much potty trained himself. Yeah, I don't know how we got so lucky. He is funny, sweet, smart and horribly shy:) We went to my friends reception a couple weeks ago and he was so shy that he put himself to sleep. It was hilarious! I couldn't imagine my life without him.

Harry Potter
The last movie came and gone. I have been going to Harry Potter movies on opening night for almost a decade now. It's no secret that I am a Harry Potter nerd. I will be one of those weirdos going to Harry Potter conventions in 20 years. Yep, that's right. Anyways, it was fantastic. I loved it. I might be a little sad that I was never accepted to Hogwarts;) Good times were had.

We celebrated his birthday a couple weeks ago by going to Chuck E Cheeses. He had been talking about it for months. He wanted a cowboy theme. This is what he told me "I want a REAL cowboy theme not Woody from Toy Story!" So funny! Anyways, I think he had a great time!
We also had a celebration at my parents and of course he was spoiled:)

I'm trying really hard to deal with all the crap life has been throwing my way lately. It's okay to cry every once and a while, right? Well, I hate crying so I'm over it:) The scriptures have been on my mind the past little while so why is it so hard for me to read on a regular basis, I don't know but it is. Doesn't make much sense to me either. My goal.... read everyday. EVERYDAY! I need that spiritual uplift everyday. So, with that said there are two scriptures I want to share. I'm not trying to be all churchy but this is for me.
D&C 24:8 Be apatient in bafflictions, for thou shalt have many; but cendure them, for, lo, I am with thee, even unto the dend of thy days.
D&C:7-8 My son, apeace be unto thy soul; thine badversity and thine afflictions shall be but a csmall moment;
And then, if thou aendure it well, God shall exalt thee on high; thou shalt triumph over all thy bfoes.
I love the scriptures. Makes my heart happy.

one year older
First, I have to say I have the best parents ever! I just had a lovely birthday and my parents got us a room at the Golden Nugget. Mainly for us to use the pool. The pool is amazing! You can swim up to a shark tank. It's almost like you are swimming with the sharks. Almost:) The kids were in heaven. I even rode down the slide a few times:) It goes through the shark tank so that's pretty cool. I had a great time and I'm pretty sure the fam did too. Unfortunately I didn't get any pictures of the pool but here are the few I did get.

Ezra's movin on up
I can't believe Ezra is going to be in first grade! Holy moly, when did I get old enough to have a 6 year old. Weird. Ezra has grown so much in the past year. He is a little sponge right now. Kindergarten was good to him. He loved it! I think he had a little crush on his teacher too. We couldn't have asked for a better Kindergarten teacher. She was amazing!!

Picture time
Here is an update of the last couple months. First thing is our camera completely crapped out on us oh back in February-ish so don't mind the sucky quality pictures:)
We celebrated Aaron's birthday last week. No pictures. Lame, I know. I love love love my man. We celebrated by doing a session at the temple followed by lunch at La Palapa, taking a little nap, going down to Fremont street to go on the zip line but after watching it we decided it wasn't worth our money. It's really short. So we people watched instead and for the first time tried fried twinkies and oreos. Yum! After walking around a while we went to dinner at a place in China Town and for some reason I am blanking on the name but it was amazing! Then we followed that with a game of bingo and ended the night at the drive inns. It was a great day. Hopefully Aaron feels the same way:) I love you babe!
Mother's Day was good. I was spoiled. I love my boys and I love that I am their mom. I'm one lucky lady. I also want to say I have the best mom in the world. I love her! She is such a good example of the mom I want to be:)
I've been trying to do more crafts with the kids so one night we made duct tape wallets. Don't let the look on Ezra's face fool you. He loved it, I swear:)
Easter was very low key but good. Lucky for the kids, uncle Eric and aunt Whitney gave them Easter baskets because the Easter bunny was a total slacker on his duties.
Lincoln fell and cut his head open. We don't have insurance so we decided it didn't look bad enough to take him to the emergency room. So, this is what we came up with. Ghetto, I know but it worked.
And we found him like this one night.
First time going to the drive inns as a family. We pumped up our air mattress and all crowded in the back of the truck and watched Rango. Good times:)
