Mud Run

Aaron and I went to Cali a couple weeks ago to run the "Mud Run." It was AWESOME! We had so much fun that we decided (or more like I decided) that we are going to run it every year. If you don't know what it is, don't you worry, I will tell you. The Mud Run is a challenging 10k run with hills, tire obstacles, river crossings, two 5-foot walls with mud on both sides, tunnel crawl, slippery hill climb and the final 30-foot mud pit. Unfortunately we didn't get pictures while we were running but I have a few "after" pics. We want to recruit people for next year because you can do teams. We think that would be super fun. Who's in?

What a ham

This is Lincoln's new favorite thing to do...

Happy Father's Day

Dear daddy,

Jeep daddy. I love to work with you, ride my bike with you and help you. I like to do stuff with you. I think you are funny and I draw you like a cat so you are funny. I like when we wrestle. I love you so much and I hug and kiss you. You are the best. I miss you when you go to work and school. I love you so much that I want to ride my bike with you.

Love Ezra

This is the letter word for word that Ezra gave to his daddy yesterday. Obviously I wrote it but this is exactly what Ezra said. I thought this was too cute! Happy Father's day babe!

FHE

Ezra has been wanting us to go to the temple as a family so we thought that would be a great Family Home Evening. Ezra was so excited that he decided he needed to wear his temple clothes (which is his church clothes) and daddy needed to wear his too. Mommy and Linc weren't cool enough to wear temple clothes. It was such a wonderful evening and I just love being there as a family and hope to one day go through the temple as a family.

Alissa's wedding

Aaron's sister Alissa got married a couple weeks ago on May 16th. We were able to go to the sealing which was wonderful! She looked absolutely beautiful and so happy. Congrats!

This is Aaron's family minus Eliza (she's on her mission in Texas)

Today

Today was Ezra's day. I decided I would do whatever he wanted, whenever he wanted. I would drop whatever I was doing at the moment and give him 110% of my attention. We read 1 book about 20 times in a row, had a dance party, played in Lincoln's crib, played outback, went to Walmart, wrapped a b-day gift for his friend, cuddled and played on the computer all before 11:00. I CAN NOT tell you how well behaved Ezra was today. It makes me feel bad that all I need to do is give the kid more attention. Make sense:) Now, I know not everyday I can devote all my time to him but my new goal is to really spend quality time together every single day. Sometimes my days get away from me and I realize all Ezra and I did together was be in the same room. Sad, I know! I need to remember he is only going to be 3 once and I need to cherish these times together. Before I know it, he will be a teenager and will be to "cool" to hang out with mom. Here are some pics from the day...

This is what goes through my mind...

...when I take a brake and think about life.
I'm exhausted.
I need a nap.
Can I handle going back to work full time. I did it with Ezra, why would I not be able to now. Maybe I can start off part time.
I'm getting anxious about my EKG class. Will I be able to hack it? I haven't been in school for 7 years. I don't even remember how to study. How will I study with my kids hanging all over me?
My love my kids. They are awesome!
I need a hobby.
Mmmm.... Dr. Pepper sounds good.
I need to go running.
Why haven't I lost all my baby weight yet? Maybe it's the Dr. Pepper :)
Why am I not more organized.
What would I do without Aaron? I love him so much. I love waking up next to him every morning.
I want a hammock.
Ezra and Lincoln are so incredibly cute!
Maybe I should cut my hair. Ummmm or not.
I need to take my birth control pill before I forget... again!
I can't get pregnant!!!!!!!!!!!! Scary
I want to go do a temple session.
I need to take a shower and pluck my eyebrows. They are out of line!
Aaron is sooo busy. How can I help him out?
Our house is always dirty. Gosh, I suck at being a housekeeper.
Ezra really knows how to get under my skin. Man, sometimes it is really hard for me to deal with him.
I need more patience!
Man, I am pretty funny. I crack myself up!
A massage sounds really good right now :)
Why do I feel like I'm socially retarded sometimes? Then other times I feel super outgoing and friendly. Weird.
I feel like I can do anything I put my mind to. Oh wait, not now.
Yes I can, No I can't, YES. I. CAN.
I want to go dancing.
I am happy.
Dang, Lincoln's head is big! I'm glad I had a c-section.
Being an adult is sooooooooooooooo overrated!
I can't believe I drive a minivan and love it!

After reading this, I might get checked for A.D.D. Ha! Sadly, this is only a sliver of what has gone through my head today. I think that is why I had to type this out. I feel like my head is going to explode.
