Last trip... before the baby

We went to California again last weekend and it was wonderful. Man, I can't get enough of the beach! Our trip started off a little hectic but we finally made it out of town and didn't get to Oceanside until midnight. We had to wake up nice and early because Aaron was running the "mud run." This run has to be one of the funnest 10ks I have ever heard of. I was sooooo jealous that I wasn't running it. It is at Camp Pendleton, which is a Marine Corp base. So, basically it is a run with a bunch of obstacles to go through on the way. You climb up muddy walls, run through tires, cross a river which Aaron said it came up to his chest and a few other things. And at the end you have to crawl through this big mud pit. Now if that doesn't sound like the funnest run then I am not sure what does!!!! Anyways we had to be there nice and early. Ezra wanted to run it so bad too! It was too cute. So he stretched with Aaron, gotta love it. Then cried hysterical when Aaron went to the starting line. We met up with some good friends. It was really good seeing them. It was a really fun to watch all the runners come across the finish line muddy. Once again I was so jealous. I thought for sure I could do the run 8 months prego, right. Ha! It would be hard enough not pregnant. Anyways Aaron did really well and he had so much fun. So, since I couldn't do it and he loved it do much we are going to do it next year.

The rest of the trip we just hung out at the beach. We all had a really good time. It's sad to think it will probably be a while before we got to the beach again.

I caved in

Dude, I'm huge! Here is a picture of me at 31 weeks. Actually like 30 weeks and 5 days, who's counting. I am a lot bigger than I was with Ezra but what can you do. I think my whole body got pregnant this time around. My arms, thighs oh and lets not forget all the extra junk in the trunk I am lugging around. YIKES! I guess I'll just embrace it. And I finally have a date of the c-section. 8-7-08. I was going to try for 8-8-08 but my doc will be out of town. I am so excited to actually know when it's going to be. I guess that is one good thing about c-sections, you have no surprises. Unless I go into labor before which I highly doubt. I seriously can't wait. Get this child outta me! Can you tell I am not a big fan of the 3rd trimester. Wow! I hope this doesn't sound like I hate being prego. I'm not going to lie, I am not a lover of being pregnant but I am so grateful that I actually can be pregnant. With all the "female" problems I have I was a little worried. Seriously though, it is such a wonderful feeling to grow a baby and feel him move. It's crazy how much love you can have for a person that you haven't even met!

Happy Birthday

This is a little late but I just wanted to say Happy Birthday to Aaron. He is amazing and I seriously don't know what I would do without him. He is the love of my life. Ezra can't get enough of him. I actually think Ezra likes his daddy more than me but who wouldn't.

I can't get enough of this man! He is amazing and talented and smart. Oh gosh I can go on and on.

I can honestly say he is my better half. I love him!!!! He is handsome, super smart, he can always put a smile on my face, a great husband and father, he can fix anything, crazy, random, he has to build a sand castle every time we go to the beach, he keeps me on my toes, he always gives me a kiss goodbye, he is very patriotic, he loves to serve, kids love him, the list can go on.

Name game

I think we finally figured out a name for the little guy in my belly. Aaron and I have the hardest time with names. We don't agree on anything. The names I love, he hates. The names he likes, yikes!
I was starting to worry because we weren't even close to finding a name. A while back we both kinda liked Eli but I just couldn't get the feel of it. The more I said it the more it didn't feel right. So I told Aaron we needed to move on and start thinking of a new name. I think we both just put it out of our minds because we never talked about it. Then a couple weeks back my wonderful sister asked me what I still needed for the baby and I told her "a name." So she is actually the one who gets credit for this which she will never let us forget either. The name is LINCOLN! I love it! So if you don't, well frankly I don't care! My favorite reaction is nothing at all. My Grandma didn't even know what to say. Needless to say I don't think she likes it. Haha grandma' s are great! But I am so used to that. When we decided on Ezra I got some pretty interesting comments. My grandma Rice straight up said that it was a horrible name! Gotta love Grandma's. Well, we are happy with it and it actually feels good to have that over with. I can actually start calling him by name. Hopefully we don't change our minds because we are good at that.
Oh yeah and I am not even going to post pregnancy pictures because well, I am a fatty. 2nd pregnancy hasn't been that good to me. Actually I can't complain but I definitely have more weight on this time around. I hear that's normal with the second but it's still depressing. Anyways, I am getting really excited to have another kiddo. It will be crazy but awesome! Oh my goodness I am going to have 2 kids!!!!

Idaho

Well we just got back from a little vacation in Idaho. We had a lot of fun but I am glad to be home. Lets just say there was a 30 to 40 degree weather difference. Yah, one day the high there was like 40 degrees. Not my kinda weather. I love Vegas weather especially in April. So I was sad to be missing the 80 degrees here.

We stayed with our good friends Jessie and Emma. They were nice enough to let us stay with them for about a whole week. We didn't do a whole lot. That was our plan, though. We just wanted to relax. To have a break from the fast Vegas pase. Ezra and Lilly got along pretty well. As good as you can ask for 2 a year old.

This first pic is Ezra and Lilly reading together. It was so cute. The second pic is at Jessie and Emma's house and yes, it's snowing. This third one is at the Rexburg temple. That temple is beautiful! We had a good time and we were glad to spend some time with our friends but like I said it always feels good to be home.

Shout Out!!

I would like to give a shout out to my friend Melissa. She just went through the temple about a week and a half ago. I am so proud of her!! I love her so stinkin much. Everyone needs a friend like Melissa. A couple things I love about her: She might be one of the funniest people I know, always makes you laugh, absolutely beautiful, awesome sense of style, good listener, crazy, doesn't care what people think of her, brings the best out of people, contagious to be around.

Cali Trip

We finally took a vacation! It's a miracle. Aaron and I have been so busy and life just flies by too fast. We realized at the end of 2007 that we really didn't take any vacations that year. So we decided this year we will take a few vacations before the second child comes into our lives. We went to Castaic Lake and stayed with Aaron's sister for 2 days. Then went down to Carlsbad and camped for a night. Which we LOVED! We were right on the beach and it was absolutely beautiful. Then we thought Ezra would love Sea World so why not go. Only to find out he really would have cared less and would have rather gone to the beach. All in all we had a great time. Aaron and I got some sun so that's always nice and Ezra fell in love with the beach. What more can you ask for. Here are a few pictures of the trip.....
