Girls weekend

Mother's day weekend I was lucky enough to go on a trip to Cali with my mom and sister. I had such a good time. We woke up nice and early Friday morning and headed out. We went to Manhattan Beach where my brother and sister in-law live. We picked up my brother and headed to the beach. Hung out there enough to get some sun and then went and got some grub, then headed out to see Whitney. The reason why we went to Cali was because of the Revlon Run/Walk for Women. Whitney pretty runs the show or as my sister put it, and I quote "My sister in-law runs this shit!" Haha... anyways Whitney hooked us up so we were VIP. We had soooo much fun. My sister, brother and myself ran the 5k and my mom walked. The run was pretty cool. The first part was nothing to exciting but at the end you run into the Colosseum and that was freakin awesome! After the race Micheal Bolton came on stage and sang a few song. One of them being, When a Man Loves a Woman. YESSSSS... don't be jealous! We hung out there for a while. It was really cool to see how many people participated in this run. It was for womens cancer. It was a neat experience to be apart of. After that we went to Santa Monica and hung out for awhile, then headed home. It was short but sweet. Thanks Whitney for the hook up. We love you! And thanks to my babe for watchin the kids so I could go. You are the best:)

The big 3 0

Aaron had his 30th birthday about a week ago. I can't believe how old he is! Gosh, 30 is ancient! Haha, I don't really think that but I have had fun reminding him how old he's getting. Since we are unemployed, spending money was really not an option. I threw him a little surprise party two days before his bday. I thought it turned out pretty well. He said he was surprised so who knows if he's lying or not. Then on his actual bday I took him to this new little restaurant called Indian Curry Bowl. It was delish! ...and that is all we did. Sad, I know. None the less, we enjoyed ourselves and had a good time.

I love this man so much. I truly feel blessed to have such a wonderful husband. He is an amazing father. Our boys adore him as do I. I LOVE YOU BABE! HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

Ezra's thoughts...

"Mommy you're the best and cause I like you so much I want to give you a bear hug." He then explained to me what a bear hug was and he even growled at me. He really knows how to melt my heart.

9 months

Lincoln is 9 months old! He needs to slow it down because I love love love the baby stages! Gosh, he is so dang handsome. I could give him kisses all day long. Wait, I already do that! His personality is starting to show and let me tell you, he has a temper. It's kinda funny to watch him. He will yell at you if aren't giving him enough attention or not feeding him fast enough or if Ezra is bugging him. It's actually pretty cute. Ezra is Lincoln's favorite person unless Ezra decides to steam roll him, which happens more than it should. His new favorite activity is roaming the house in his walker. He loves to open the drawers in the kitchen. He still is no where close to crawling, which is fine by me. Man, I love this kid! I love that his hair has a red tint to it. I love his hazel eyes. I love when he holds me with his death grip. I love that he is sleeping through the night now. I love his cuddles. I love watching him watch Ezra. He really is a joy to have in our home. We all love the heck out of him and can't get enough.

We went to the doc today and here are his stats:

Weight: 17lbs 12oz- 10%

Height: 28 1/2 in- 50%

Head: 48cm- 95%

Yeah, so his head might be a little large and in charge but he is still one fine lookin kid!

Life is Good!

I saw this scripture on someones blog and it is exactly what I needed to read at that moment. So, I thought I would share it.

Proverbs 3: 5-6

Trust in the Lord with all thine heart and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy way acknowledge him and he shall direct thy paths.

For me, that is all that needs to be said.

You know...

Aaron and I like to laugh at ourselves. So, here is another "list" we laugh at.

You know you're getting old when:

1. You go running and your joints hurt not your muscles.
2. Your ideal date is to drop the kids off at the grandparents house then go home and sleep.
3. You start liking classical music.
4. You start listening to mix 94.1 and like all the music.
5. You are talking to someone in your class and they find out how old you are and they say "You're 30, holy crap you're old!" Yeah, don't worry that really happened to Aaron this semester. HAHA
6. You sing along with the elevator music.
7.You no longer think of speed limits as a challenge.
8.People call at 9:00 p.m. and ask, "Did I wake you?"
9. It takes you twice as long to look half as good.
10.You have a party and the neighbors don't even realize it.
11.You're the one calling the police because those %@!.. kids next door won't turn down the stereo.

So, Aaron and I made most of these up and got a few off the internet. Man, good times! This is sooo us. It's funny and sad all at the same time.
