This is me

For a while now I have been wanting to change the look of my blog. I really like the blogs with the really cute crafty looking thingys. The ones where it looks like they scrapbooked it. Yeah, I like those. So, I was trying to do one myself and the thought occurred to me, REALLY??? This is not me! It really isn't. I am so very retarded when it comes to being crafty and creative. I've tried, it's just not in me. And I am totally okay with that. So, why would I want my blog to look like that? Well, this is my new blog look. Simple. Just the way I like it :)

Girls Night

Nothing is better than pizza, Dr. Pepper and a little friendly dance competition :) We played a dance game on the wii (I don't know what it's called) but it was so fun! We danced all night. Some things I learned were: Alex may be sweet be she is competitive :) Adrianne has some serious dance skillz. Bethany can kick some butt and Lindsay looks like a pro when she dances.

50 Mile Relay

Last Sat. I ran in a 50 mile relay. There were 5 girls on our team and we each had to run two legs that equaled 10 miles. My first leg was 6.1 miles and my pace came out to about a 9.40 mile. Now that might not be great for a runner but it was AWESOME for me! The second leg was 4 miles and I averaged almost an 11 min mile. That wasn't great but in my defense that was the farthest I have ever run in one day. So, pat on the back to me :) I'm not going to lie, I am so proud of myself. Now I am totally hooked on running. I am doing the Red Rock Relay in Sept. and I can't wait. If you are wondering what that is, go to www.redrockrelay.com and check it out. Get a team together and try to beat my team! Anyways, I only got a few pictures with my camera. I am waiting on the other pictures right now.

Apparently when I am exhausted, I tend to kick my ankle. In my second leg I couldn't stop kicking it and everytime I did I would yell really loud and a couple times I may have even said son of a ... you can guess what comes next :)
Oh and I have to add (for journal purposes) one of my New Year's Resolutions was to do something I have never done before. And here it is, Run in a Relay! Yeah, one New Year's resolution down.

Helpers

These two fine lookin boys are my "helpers" in the kitchen. It may take twice as long to cook. Sometimes a few extra ingredients are added when mom's not looking but they happy and not fighting. So VERY worth it!

Red Rock Relay

I am searching for people who want to run in the Red Rock Relay. No, it's not in Red Rock. It's kind of like the Ragnar relay. You have a team of 12 people who each run 3 legs which equals out to be 180 miles. The different legs can range anywhere from 3 miles to 8 miles. This relay looks so fun!! You start in Brian Head and run through Cedar Breaks, Zions and few other places and end by St. George. Oh and it's not until Sept. 10th. Aaron and I want to get a team together so let me know!!
