I'm trying really hard to deal with all the crap life has been throwing my way lately. It's okay to cry every once and a while, right? Well, I hate crying so I'm over it:) The scriptures have been on my mind the past little while so why is it so hard for me to read on a regular basis, I don't know but it is. Doesn't make much sense to me either. My goal.... read everyday. EVERYDAY! I need that spiritual uplift everyday. So, with that said there are two scriptures I want to share. I'm not trying to be all churchy but this is for me.

D&C 24:8 Be ^apatient in ^bafflictions, for thou shalt have many; but ^cendure them, for, lo, I am with thee, even unto the ^dend of thy days.

D&C:7-8 My son, ^apeace be unto thy soul; thine ^badversity and thine afflictions shall be but a ^csmall moment;
And then, if thou ^aendure it well, God shall exalt thee on high; thou shalt triumph over all thy ^bfoes.

I love the scriptures. Makes my heart happy.

Just for record. I'm fine. My family is fine. Everything is fine. I have so much to be grateful for. More so than I deserve. I just don't think I handle stress very well.

one year older

First, I have to say I have the best parents ever! I just had a lovely birthday and my parents got us a room at the Golden Nugget. Mainly for us to use the pool. The pool is amazing! You can swim up to a shark tank. It's almost like you are swimming with the sharks. Almost:) The kids were in heaven. I even rode down the slide a few times:) It goes through the shark tank so that's pretty cool. I had a great time and I'm pretty sure the fam did too. Unfortunately I didn't get any pictures of the pool but here are the few I did get.

Ezra's movin on up

I can't believe Ezra is going to be in first grade! Holy moly, when did I get old enough to have a 6 year old. Weird. Ezra has grown so much in the past year. He is a little sponge right now. Kindergarten was good to him. He loved it! I think he had a little crush on his teacher too. We couldn't have asked for a better Kindergarten teacher. She was amazing!!

Here is an update of the last couple months. First thing is our camera completely crapped out on us oh back in February-ish so don't mind the sucky quality pictures:)
We celebrated Aaron's birthday last week. No pictures. Lame, I know. I love love love my man. We celebrated by doing a session at the temple followed by lunch at La Palapa, taking a little nap, going down to Fremont street to go on the zip line but after watching it we decided it wasn't worth our money. It's really short. So we people watched instead and for the first time tried fried twinkies and oreos. Yum! After walking around a while we went to dinner at a place in China Town and for some reason I am blanking on the name but it was amazing! Then we followed that with a game of bingo and ended the night at the drive inns. It was a great day. Hopefully Aaron feels the same way:) I love you babe!
Mother's Day was good. I was spoiled. I love my boys and I love that I am their mom. I'm one lucky lady. I also want to say I have the best mom in the world. I love her! She is such a good example of the mom I want to be:)I've been trying to do more crafts with the kids so one night we made duct tape wallets. Don't let the look on Ezra's face fool you. He loved it, I swear:)Easter was very low key but good. Lucky for the kids, uncle Eric and aunt Whitney gave them Easter baskets because the Easter bunny was a total slacker on his duties.Lincoln fell and cut his head open. We don't have insurance so we decided it didn't look bad enough to take him to the emergency room. So, this is what we came up with. Ghetto, I know but it worked.And we found him like this one night.First time going to the drive inns as a family. We pumped up our air mattress and all crowded in the back of the truck and watched Rango. Good times:)

Ragnar Socal

I did another relay race last weekend. It was a blast! We started in Huntington Beach and ended in Coronado. It was a total of 200 miles and I ran 21 of those miles. Fun fun and good times:) Our team name was "I've made a huge mistake" it's from the TV show Arrested Development. If you haven't seen it, watch it because you are missing out on some funny stuff. I loved our team. I love all the girls I ran with. My van was crazy:) I so wish I got more pictures but this is all I got. Some of my favorite moments were: My team not being there at 2 of my exchanges! HA! I must be super fast or something;), People thinking we were all super creepers because we had analrapist written on our car (note back to Arrested Development, it's not was it seems), me signing a waver for my 2 leg because there were possible dangers like rattlesnakes, hornets and dragons what?? Ha just kidding but not really that leg was a beast, some guy running next to me saying I had a good pace so I asked him what it was and he looked at his nifty little garmin and I was running a 9 min pace!! That's fast for me and being in a van full of awesome girls. I do want to mention that Megan got so sick after her 2 leg, she was puking her guts out all night. The next morning she said she wanted to run her last leg and I thought she was crazy but she insisted and did awesome!

Updates on life

- School is going really good. I am loving it!
- Aaron is still on track for med school. A few more semesters and hopefully we are outta here!
-Still living with my grandparents. Some days are definitely harder than others but we are grateful that we have a home to live in.
- Ezra loves school but I think he is ready for a break.
- Ezra loves drawing. He is actually pretty dang good. It's his passion right now. Aaron and I have noticed he sometimes expresses how he is feeling through art. I love it! He is going to be our artistic kid.
- Lincoln is obsessed with cars, trucks, dirt, spongebob, balls. He is all boy.
- Lincoln is wanting to participate in family prayer now and the other night Ezra helped him with the prayer and it was the sweetest moment ever.
- I'm running another relay in 2 weeks and I am soooooo not ready. It didn't help that I was sick for 3 weeks straight. I am so excited though. It's going to be a lot of fun. 21 miles here I come.
- We went camping in Carlsbad a couple weeks ago and lets just say on our drive home Aaron and I decided we needed a re-do. Um... there wasn't a whole lot that went right. For one thing, I got one of the worst migraines I can remember. If I had a gun I would have been tempted to put me out of my misery. Okay not really, but kind of. The weather was the main downfall. When camping on the beach, you usually want warm sunny weather and we got 30- 40 mph winds, no sun and rain. Awesome. It wasn't all bad. We hung out with some good friend and also got to spend time with my bother and his wife. We sure love them.
-Our camera completely crapped out on us. Boo urns.
- Lincoln is finally starting to talk!! Woohoo I'm not to worried now:)
- After our whole family was sick for a month I really, really, really appreciate my health and my families health.
- I think that's about it for now. Nothing new or exciting. Just living life one day at a time. Finding the simple pleasures each day brings:)
