Ugh...

The past couple days have been challenging for me as a mother. I think I've said I am done having kids more than once in the last little while. Ezra is teasing Lincoln every chance he gets. He'll yell in his face or take his toys and put them right out of Lincoln's reach. He is just pestering the heck out of him. So Lincoln has been crying more than usual and Ezra is being more naughty than usual. I feel like all I do is yell at Ezra. I hate yelling at him all the time. I feel slightly defeated. I don't know what to do. I know Ezra is needing some extra attention right now. I think he feels like I am giving all my attention to Lincoln which I do give more attention to him because he needs it. One of my biggest fears is one of my kids thinking I don't love them as much as the other siblings. I think I am going to have a mommy Ezra day and we will go do whatever he wants. I love them both so much! I try to remind myself that Ezra is only going to be 3 once. He is a good kid and he is full of life! I just need to have more patience.

Cry it out

You know how sometimes you just need a good cry... well I am there. The only problem is I can't seem to make myself cry. It's been a while since I have had a good cry and I think every woman needs to have one every once in a while. No, I 'm not depressed or sad or anything like that I just need to cry. It's actually becoming extremely frustrating! Just come out already...

Pole Dancing

Last night me and a few ladies from the ward went to a pole dancing class. It was soooo dang fun! We had such a good time. We learned the "stripper walk" oh so sexy. Then we learned a pole routine. It was awesome. We did some twirls, booty shaking, jumps and some leg kicks. Seriously, I can't tell you enough of how much fun I had. Now if only I had a pole at home to show Aaron what I learned ;) Thank you Angie for putting this together. That definitely wasn't my last time!

What's going on inside my head

I will warn you, this post is random!

I am listening to Lincoln cry it out right now and it is breaking my heart! He has been so spoiled the last couple weeks with being sick, teething and shots. His nights have been pretty miserable for all of us but of course I am going to spoil my baby if he is not feeling well. So, Aaron and I decided we will let him cry it out. We did this with Ezra when he was younger and it really worked. Last night was the first night we let Lincoln cry it out and he cried for 45 mins. Talk about me wanting to cry myself to sleep too. Tonight he actually just stopped crying and it was 23 mins. The hardest thing about babies is they can't tell you what they want! It is extremely frustrating sometimes. If anyone has any suggestions about what they did with their babies who didn't sleep through the night, I would love to know!

I forgot how awesome it is to not be a "real girl" when you are prego and nursing but the past couple days I have been having some serious cramps! Today I just wanted to be a drug addicted and pop some good pain killers but I held out all day until tonight. Hey, I need a good nights sleep, right? So, basically I think I am going to be back on the "real girl" train pretty soon. I am NOT looking forward to it!

We went to the UNLV game tonight as a family and it was really fun. It was the first time we went as a family. Lincoln did really well and Ezra did too but with about 7 mins left he really wanted to leave. I can't blame him, the Rebels kicked Colorado's trash!

Recently it's been really easy for me to have a pity party for myself and I decided I need to get my head out of my butt and start looking at how much I have to be grateful for. Seriously, life is good! It's not prefect but I am happy. I am truly happy! I love that I can say that. I am going to say it one more time because it feels good. I AM HAPPY! Awww... that felt good.

I am going to give a shout out to the love of my life (oh come on, it's Valentine's day) he makes me happy! I love him more than words can say!

6 months

Lincoln is 6 months old! I took him to the doc yesterday to get his shots and check up. These are his stats:

Height: 26 3/4 in- 50-75%

Weight: 15lbs 12oz- 10-25%

Head: 46cm- 90-95%

So my little guy is tall, skinny with a big head :) But he is seriously one cute baby! He has been a little pain in my rear lately. When he was sick he was getting up in the night like every 2 hours and now he is in that routine! I am sooooo done with it but he just got his shots so now he has a little fever and doesn't feel good again. Once he is better he will be sleeping in his room. Yes, he is still sleeping on our room! Go ahead, judge me! Oh man, I really need a full nights sleep!

My mom rocks!

My mom called me up today and asked when she could come pick up Ezra. She said she wanted to have a fun day with him. That was a pleasant surprise! I didn't hesitate to take her up on her offer. So, she came around lunch time and picked him up. Aaron and I decided to go to the movie He's Just Not That Into You. We just dragged Lincoln along and he was wonderful. Anyways, I didn't hate the movie and I didn't like it either. What Aaron and I got out of that movie was girls are crazy, guys are dirt bags and marriage is overrated. But there were some pretty funny parts of the movie.

It was nice to have some time together. Thanks mom! YOU ROCK!

Finally it's over... or is it?

Lincoln is finally getting better! Now it's Ezra turn. At least Lincoln is only waking up once or twice a night. I can do that.

Ezra is in the stage where he is asking a lot of questions. I am really surprised about the depth of his questions. He is a smart little boy! Here are some of the questions he asked me:

What is my brain made out of and what does it do?
What makes the sun go up and down everyday?
What is my body made out of?
Why is my blood green in my body?
Am I going to die? (He wasn't worried about dying he was just curious if he could live forever:)

Crazy kid! I just love so much!
