The joys of having a boy

I took the kids to the park after lunch today. Ezra was going crazy and wanted to get out of the house. We went to Deersprings Park and nobody was there. Maybe because it's still pretty hot! Anyways, I was talking on the phone with a friend and wasn't really paying attention to Ezra. Then all of the sudden I heard something that sounded like running water and thought that was weird because it's not a water park. I was looking around to see what it was and I found it. There was Ezra with his pants pulled down around his ankles peeing on a tree. I quickly look around to make sure no one was there and then figured there was no need to stop him because he was almost done. Nice, how embarrassing. This got me thinking of all the places he has gone pee in public. Oh yeah, there's a list! Overton Park (and he also pooped there too, nice huh) Aliante Park, just recently added Deersprings Park, In our front yard on a bush, in front of our house in the street, on my brothers car tire (maybe he is like a dog and likes to mark his territory), Goynes (spelling) Elementary School in the flowers, on my moms tree in her front yard, at our old house in the street right when security was driving by, that's special. Well at least he doesn't go in his pants right! Oh man, Ezra keeps me on my toes but also keeps me laughing! I hope to have my camera on me next time so I can blackmail him when he gets older:)

My bro got married!

We went to California this weekend to see my brother get married. We had such a good time! We woke early Friday morning to head out so we could get there early enough to spend some time at the beach. We got to Manhattan Beach around 1:00 which isn't bad considering we had to stop in Baker and Victorville to feed Lincoln. We checked in the hotel and headed straight for the beach.

We hung out there for a while. Aaron and Ezra made a sandcastle and we played in the water. It was really fun. We could have spent all day there but we were meeting up with some friends, Jason and Bridget and didn't want to be smelly. Later that night we went to the Dodgers game. That was our first time going to a pro baseball game. It was a lot of fun. I forgot our camera which is a bummer but what can you do. Saturday morning was the wedding. They got married in the LA temple. That was also mine and Aaron's first time to that temple. I love going to sealings. It reminds me of how much Heavenly Father loves us. Being sealed for all eternity is the best feeling in the world. It was a wonderful reminder of the promises we made and the blessing we recieved. Here they are just coming out of the temple.

Later that night was the reception and it was at this beautiful home. Everything turned out really nice!

Sunday when went up to Santa Monica. That was also a first for me. We hung out on the beach for a couple hours and I got fried! Then we went on the pier and took Ezra on some rides. Then we headed home a 6:00. So it was a late night but it was well worth it.

My morning

I woke up this morning at 6:30 from a phone call from Aaron. He said "Hey you might want to check on Ezra because I think he was getting up when I left the house." I didn't think anything of it until he wasn't in bed and nowhere to be found. So I looked in the garage and it was wide open and he was also nowhere to be found. So I started panicking a little. I was still on the phone with Aaron and told him that I couldn't see him so he turned around and headed back home and I hurried back inside to put some clothes on. When I went outside I looked up and down the street and couldn't see him. My heart skipped a beat. Then I heard a scream/cry and looked down the street and there he was. In his jammy t-shirt and diaper and his favorite blanky in hand with his sippy cup running down the street toward me. Thank you Heavenly Father!!! He was all confused. I think he wasn't fully awake when he left the house and then realized where he was and that was when he screamed. Aaron pulled up right when I picked him up. So all is good now. To Do List today: Get child locks!

Lincoln's Blessing

Before I say anything about the blessing, I would like to say, Ezra is taking a nap (which is a big deal because he is totally getting out of the napping stage) Lincoln is completely content sitting in his bouncer and it is overcast! Honestly this feels so good to just sit here and do what I want. Yes, I should be cleaning but I am going to do whatever I want right now. I think I am going to get a bowl of sherbet and put on a movie after this and maybe get a power nap in there. Awwww.... this feels good!
So anyways about the blessing. It turned out really nice. The morning was a little hectic. We cleaned the heck out of our house (I know we should have done that Saturday) and I got a call from my mom saying my dad might not make it because my grandpa collapsed. So my dad went to their house to make sure everything was okay. When we got to the church I went up to one of the bishopric and asked if he could take as long as he could conducting because my dad was on his way he was just going to be late. Anyways when they called us up to bless him my dad still wasn't there and right before Aaron started the blessing I looked to the back if the chapel and there was my dad. Unfortunately Aaron didn't see him and he started the blessing. I almost yelled out "Wait!" but I held my tongue. Well at least he was there! The blessing was beautiful! Aaron did a really good job.

Pretty much all of Aaron's family came down for it. They live in Logandale and my 2 best friends came. We had a little lunch in afterward and it was really nice. So there is a story behind the outfit Lincoln was blessed in. As you can see, above, that it is rather small on him but that outfit was the one my dad was blessed in 50 years ago! Crazy! Alsomy brothers were blessed in it and Ezra. So I really wanted him to wear. Even though it reminded me of the movie Tommy Boy. Fat guy in a little coat! Haha!

Nothing exciting

Life is back to normal, finally! Well, as much as it can be. We have been hangin around the house and just taking it easy. I still can't do too much. I feel like it's taking me longer to heal this time around and that is extremely frustrating! We went to all 3 hours of church yesterday and I felt fine there but on our drive home I was feeling sore. How sad is that!
