Dirty thirty

Oh how I love birthdays. I love celebrating another year of life. I thought turning 30 was going to be rough but honestly, I'm grateful to be getting older. I'm grateful to have lived 30 years of this thing called life.
Highlights of 29-
-Giving birth to my third baby
-Moving to a different country
-Living and experiencing a new country
-Stepping out of my comfort zone multiple times
-Aaron starting and finishing his 1st year of med school
-Meeting new people and making some great friends
-Doing hard things! Like things I never thought I could do and rock it:)

Some lows of 29-
-Saying goodbye to friends and family
-Saying goodbye to my husband for 4 months
-Being mom and dad for 4 months. I have serious respect for military spouses.

All in all a great way to end my 20's. Life is good

About the kids

Just thought I would do an update on the little Boren children.

Ezra:
-LOVES Minecraft (ugh, I'm so over it)
-is obsessed with cruises. He is currently trying to earn enough money to go on one. He has put in a serious amount of time researching different cruise lines and the different ships. I bet he could answer any questions you have about cruises:)
-Also he is really into the Titanic for some reason. He has put in even more time researching this.
-is in swim lessons and is working on his back stroke.
-in school he is excelling in math and science but needs a little work in reading and writing. Laziness is all that is.
-loves snorkeling
-likes Grenada but is anxious to move back to Vegas
-is very anti girl things.
-is in love with his baby bro. He plays with him and holds him. He even wants to change his diaper:)
-Favorite color green
-still very picky about what he wears
-wants to be a cruise ship architect
-very patient with Lincoln.
-loves to get his back tickled
-has a big heart.
-loves Sunny and plays with him every chance he gets.
I LOVE this kid!!!

 Lincoln:
-Also loves Minecraft
-basically this kid loves electronics of any kind
-loves Ezra. He is his little shadow.
-also is swim lessons. He is doing awesome. When we moved here 5 1/2 months ago he couldn't swim and now he is a fish.
-he is very cautious
-if Ezra won't do it, most likely he won't
-favorite color is blue
-still loves to play cars with dad
-his nickname is the Hulk because he he can lose it in a second and when he does it's ugly. HA! he has a temper.
-Doesn't love school but does pretty well
-still loves to cuddle
-likes to play soccer
- loves cereal. He would eat it for every meal if we let him.

Hank:
-is now 7 1/2 months.
-can sit by himself
-apples are his favorite food
-loves his walker
-the older he gets, the worse he sleeps. His naps are short and he wakes up multiple times a night.
-he has 2 teeth and one coming in.
-he now likes his car seat
-hates to be hot. Yeah, doesn't really work here:/
-loves to be held
-likes to be outside
-loves the water.
-has the cutest smile ever and it can be seen when his brothers are in the room and when he is well fed
-is curious about everything and can't be trusted with anything that can go in his mouth.

Eric visits

We were soooo excited when Eric came to visit. The week was jammed packed full of beaches, snorkeling, the pool, monkeys, turtle watching, robot making, paddle boarding, crab racing, and family time.

We were lucky enough to watch Leather back turtles come up on the beach and lay their eggs. Here is Lincoln touching one. The picture is bad because we weren't allowed to have a flash.

The jelly fish were small but there were thousands of them. If you look at my selfie closely you can see them. They are clear and about the size of a quarter. Luckily we all only got a few stings.

Notice Aaron wasn't in any pictures. Poor guy was studying for finals but it all paid off because he is on his way to second year of med school! You rock babe!

Pandy Beach

We went to a new beach a couple weeks ago with some friends. It's not a beach for great swimming or to get cozy on but it was still a lot of fun. The boys loved it. Honestly I did care much for it but it is great for finding sea glass and shells and the boys had fun snorkeling there. I was surprised at how much the boys loved it:)

Not much

Not much is happening with me and boys these days. Lots of naps, swimming at the beach or pool, minecraft, insanity, playing with the dog, house training the dog and playing with friends.

Went to my first black sand beach

Every year Grenada holds Regatta races. It was fun to see all the sail boats out in the water. Our landlord was out racing his boat. He came in 7th

A week or so ago there was this cool looking pirate ship in the bay by our house. The boys were obsessed with it!

 And we are missing Aaron. He has been spending his time studying for mid terms next week. Love you babe!

mommy stuff

I'm going to start this off on a positive note. At times I feel like I'm doing a pretty good job at this parenting thing. I tell my kids I love them multiple times a day. I hug and kiss them everyday. I take them to fun places even when dad can't come with and I know it will be crazy for me to do it alone all because I know they would have fun. I don't mind when they get muddy, dirty and smelly as long as they are having fun. I let them make messes. I encourage them to use their imagination.I discipline them. I make them do chores. I try to teach as we go about our day. I read them Harry Potter. Come on it doesn't get much better than that. 

So, with that said, sometimes being a mom is hard. Sometimes I make mistakes. I yell. I'm tired. I'm impatient. I get frustrated easily. I might tune my kids out a little more than I should. Some days we watch t.v. and play on electronics for most the day. I have good days and bad days.

Lately, I feel like I've had more bad days than good. Ezra, I feel sorry for you. You are my first. I have no freaking clue what I'm doing and you are the lucky one I get to learn with. Sorry:)

4 months

I love this little dude!
At 4 months he is:
rolling from his back to tummy
still nursing
hasn't had real food yet
is in 3 month clothes and a few 3 to 6 month clothes
loves to smile
really chill. I drag him around everywhere and he is a good sport
 but he hates his car seat
likes the pool and ocean
wears size 2 diapers
wakes up about once a night around 5
napping better
is laughing
likes to hear his voice
loves to be held
